NJEMU coffee estate is a brain child of Simon Nyaga Njeru and his wife Irene Wangui Nyaga. The Estate is located at the slopes of Mount Kenya in Kirinyaga County approximately 104 Kilometers from the capital city Nairobi,Kenya). Its altitude stands at an elevation of about 5,523 ft.(1,625-1,675 metres)
above sea level.

The estate is established on the principles of quality-focused farm management with harvesting being done from May – July (early crop) and October – December (main crop).
